The Sprint Unlimited at Daytona, formerly known as the Budweiser Shootout, is an annual invitation-only NASCAR Sprint Cup Series exhibition event held at Daytona International Speedway in February, the weekend before the Daytona 500. It is the first competitive event of the season and serves as a kickoff event for the NASCAR portion of Speedweeks. As of the 2013 running of the event, the race primarily features all the drivers who qualified first for the 36 races of the previous Sprint Cup Series season. This has been the format for all but four runnings of the event.
