Kevin Schwantz -born June 19, 1964 in Houston, Texas; is an American former World Champion motorcycle road racer who competed during the 1980's & early 1990's. During his career, he collected 25 Grands Prix wins, making him the second most successful American roadracer behind Eddie Lawson. Schwantz decided to retire from motorcycle competition in 1995. Schwantz briefly competed in the Australian NASCAR Championship in the late 90's. He returned to the US and competed in 18 NASCAR Busch Series events. Schwantz was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 1999.
